Lucy Runnells

Lucy Runnells, Board President, joined the WRCT Board in 2015. Originally from Rhinelander, she came to school in Stevens Point and stayed in the area since then. She spent over 33 years in public employment, first with Portage County and then with the Family Care organization called Community Care of Central Wisconsin, where she retired as Chief Financial Officer in December 2011. She returned to part time, temporary accounting assistance and Interim CFO/Fiscal Advisor for two other Family Care organizations, first in Eau Claire and most recently in Lone Rock.

Lucy’s involvement with WRCT began in March 2014 when she bravely walked in and auditioned for Mornings at Seven. She received a role, and was bitten thoroughly. Since then, she has been involved onstage and backstage in 3 other mainstage productions. She is also actively involved in Silver Foxes and volunteers whenever possible.

Other community involvement for Lucy is as the treasurer for Acacia Foundation of Central Wisconsin. Lucy lives with her wonderful husband Sam and very spoiled dog Chance. She has two grown children; Heather, who lives in Tennessee, and Butch, who lives in the area.

Mike Barrett

Mozelle Stoiber, Board Treasurer, has been a chiropractor at Stoiber HealthCare S.C. since 2004 when she returned to Wisconsin Rapids with her sons, Gavin and Corbin.  She enjoyed shows at the community theatre for many years before auditioning and being cast for the first time in “Ah, Wilderness” with her son Gavin.  She has since been in several plays including “Almost, Maine” and “A Christmas Carol” (with both her boys), Most recently she performed her favorite role to date as Nora in “A Doll’s House.”  Theatre has become a passion for her as a way of connecting to herself and others. She joined the Board of Directors in 2017 and wants to help the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre thrive and succeed in its mission to enhance people lives through the arts.

Mike Barrett

Michael Barrett, Board Director, is co-owner of Barrett's Auctions and an auctioneer since 1977 He can design a website, cook a perfect egg, and quote Arthur C. Clarke, Mark Twain and Shakespeare, of course! Mike has directed 6 successful live WRCT Main Stage productions (his 7th will be Steel Magnolias in the spring of 2017). He has also appeared onstage in more than 30 productions, aiding many others in every aspect of live WRCT theater since 1982, including 2 world premieres of original productions. Mike credits Bill Young, Lois Cantin, and his children Aly, Mike Jr., and Shannon as the ones who inspire him to keep “playing." His favorite past roles with WRCT include John Barrymore's ghost, Oberon in Midsummer Night's Dream, Ralph in Crapola, and most recently as “Dickie” in the WRCT 2016 production The Fox on the Fairway, proudly alongside his daughter Shannon.

Mike is a past VP and Artistic Liaison of the WRCT Board of Directors. His “second hobby” involves writing two columns monthly for the national publication Cribbage World, and fostering adding membership to the American Cribbage Congress worldwide.

Mike Barrett

Emma Bertotto, Board Director, is a "re"-transplant to the area. She has been living and working in Los Angeles for the past two years. Emma has performed in several WRCT productions, and will act as Assistent Director for the spring production. She is very excited to be back in her home theatre!

Gretchen's involvement with WRCT began as a child when she would participate in children’s theatre. As she grew older, she was involved in several mainstage shows, of which she has fond memories. Gretchen has worked backstage crews, helped with props and lights, and would love to stage manage and direct a mainstage production one day.She has directed youth productions, written several children's plays, and is a co-founder of “HOPO” Productions.

Gretchen has a degree in sociology/social work from UWSP, and works as a social worker for people with disabilities. In my spare time, she also enjoys photography, writing, and spending time with her children.

Bob Kell

Bob Kell, Board Director, built his first WRCT set for Anything Goes in 1982, and became really active with our group in 1987. Bob averages one set for each of our seasons since the beginning of WRCT! He's built pretty much anything a playwright's imagination could come up with, including a WHOLE HOUSE onstage for All My Sons.

Bob is retired from Consolidated Papers, where he worked as an Instrument Technician. Since his retirement, he enjoys spending time with his wife Patsy and their family. He spends his leisure time doing woodworking and the not-so-occasional odd job. He also enjoys the holiday season, taking a turn as "Santa's Helper!

Bob Kell

David Skibba, Board Director, first associated with WRCT in 2005 in Escanaba In Da Moonlight. That’s all it took to get him hooked. He has appeared in two other main stage productions, and played Beetlejuice for the Haunted House fund raisers. But as he (and we) soon discovered, sound design and board operation are his passion. He has done both for 12 plays. He has also been involved in choosing and installing various pieces of sound equipment in the theater.

David loves music and digital technology, and started a DJ business, Portable Soundz, in 2015. He has played in several local rock bands over the years. His wife, a WRCT veteran, is also musically talented: they are part of the contemporary rock praise band at their church.

David retired from Verso Papers Wisconsin Rapids Division in 2018, with over 40 years of service, with 18 years as a Storeroom Receiving Clerk. He intends to spend his “free time” with and helping his kids, as well as volunteering his time at church and, of course, the theater.
